    ABOUT THE EVENT

A small number of asset owners now exert significant influence over global capital markets. Canada’s Maple 8 pension funds, Australia’s Super 9 and a handful of sovereign wealth, insurance and endowment institutions control vast pools of long-term capital. Their scale, governance structures and investment models allow them not only to allocate capital, but to shape market practice across asset classes and geographies.

These institutions are increasingly moving beyond traditional asset allocation frameworks towards a total portfolio approach, integrating strategy, liquidity, risk and governance into a single decision-making architecture. At the same time, technological capability and artificial intelligence are becoming embedded in portfolio construction, manager selection and risk oversight. In a more volatile geopolitical and macroeconomic environment, the way these asset clusters balance resilience with return has implications far beyond their own balance sheets.

This digital dialogue, in partnership between MandateWire and Thinking Ahead Institute, will bring together senior leaders from leading asset clusters to examine how influential capital is being deployed. Featuring international asset owners, the discussion will explore how the largest allocators are positioning portfolios, integrating technology and managing risk in an era defined by structural change. The session is designed for asset owners and managers seeking insight into the strategies shaping global markets.

    KEY DISCUSSION POINTS

    ● What distinguishes the total portfolio approach as practised by leading asset clusters?

    ● How are scale and governance models influencing capital allocation decisions?

    ● Where is the technology and AI delivering genuine advantage in portfolio management?

    ● How private and public markets are maturing into one convergent capital system (but like train tracks never quite meeting), or if not, what else?

    ● How are these institutions redefining risk in an environment of persistent uncertainty?

    ● How do the different asset clusters compare with each other?

    ● What can other asset owners and managers learn from the worlds most influential pools of capital?
